Terms of use

Orbis is free to use for learning, journalism, research and personal curiosity.

The data belongs to its sources. Each map is built from open data under the licence shown on its page and on the data page. If you reuse a map, credit both Orbis and the original source.

No guarantees. Maps simplify the world. Values are rounded, grids are coarse and some sources are years old. Weather forecasts are uncertain by nature. Do not use Orbis for navigation, emergencies or decisions about safety; follow official warnings instead.

Borders and names. Country borders and names follow Natural Earth and do not express any opinion about the status of a territory.
